Journal

October 4th, 1999.
I woke up at approx. 2:30pm this afternoon looked out the window to notice that it was raining and there wasn't a chance of us going horseback riding today. Then I hopped on IRC and was informed of the ISS Softball game tonight. We indubitably decided thats what we were doing tonight. Andrea threw some fetticini into a pot and we watched Hope Floats while our dinner was cooking. Then my dad came home with his girlfriend and he told me I wasn't allowed to spend the night out because he had to take my car into the shop @ 7:30am to get the fog light fixed and to see why the airbag light wouldn't turn off. I was well on my way into the shower when my dad alled me upstairs again because he needed to talk to me. At which point I arrived upstairs he told me to take Donna upstairs and buy her a plane ticket online because she needed to go to Washington on Wednesday. He also insisted I put it on HIS credit card. What a nice guy. So after about 20 minutes of question asking and clicking the continue button I was late as hell and in the shower. It took about 30 minutes to get to the game and they were already halfway through the 3rd inning. they played a lot better than last time and X hit a homerun and jerry hit a triple. We stood by and cheered them along which unfortunatly didn't help the 34-9 final score but it was still fun to go and watch. Afterward we hung around for a bit and talked, took some pictures and then headed home. When I got home Travis called me. My stalker obsession guy who I've blown off 3 times now but still has not gotten a clue. He's a great looking guy, don't get me wrong, but he has the personality of a rock... Anyhow, I finally got off the phone with Travis and called back another friend of mine and spent the night talking to him. Then I fell asleep on the wrong side of the bed.

October 3rd, 1999.
I woke up at approx. 9am this morning to find my father, his girlfriend who spent the night and my brother had all left this morning for the North Ga. Mountains. I knew this because they were kind enough to leave me a note informing me of their return late afternoon. I didn't hesitate to jump on IRC check my /away msgs and talk to a few people about some ideas for my webpage. This idea was suggested by sdr so I figured I would go ahead and give it a shot. My roommate Andrea woke up shortly after and we promptly decided it was time to go somewhere. I had to stop at Kinko's first to scan some baby pictures I picked up at my mom's house on Friday so we ran over there and did that. It took a little longer than expected because the place was absolutely packed but we finished eventually. I hopped in my car and headed out of the shopping center. We came to the light and I knew I didn't want to go home but there really weren't many choices of things to do. I knew if I took a right at the light I would be going the exact direction I came from, so I had but little choice to make a left. We drove until we hit the highway at which point I decided if we'd end up anywhere halfway interesting, the highway was going to lead us there. Almost in Atlanta we saw a sign "Chattanoooga Marrieta 75 North Next Exit" I turned to Andrea and said, "Wanna go to Chattanooga, Tn?", she said "Sure, why not.". And off we went, just like that. On our way there this guy kept speeding up and slowing down in a white pickup truck and staring in our windows. I refused to look at him because he was wearing this dinky hat which I found to be most amusing but not worth credit to look. About 2 hours later we arrived in Tennessee. We tried to take a picture of the "Welcome to Tennessee" sign but it turned out to be a complete debacle. Then there was this absolute amazing view of the city from the hilltop with this single beam of light shining through the clouds, we managed to get a picture of it although not a very good one. When we got to Chattanooga it was approx 5:49pm which didn't leave much time to see anything before it closed at 6:00pm. So we ran to the Tennessee Aquarium just in time to get tickets and went inside to roam around and take a few pictures. Afterward we grabbed a bite to eat at TGI Fridays which I must admit was not all that appitizing. At that very point and time I realized we had left our hometown of Duluth quite tedious and dull with nothing going on to drive all the way to Tennesee just to find that it was tedious and dull with much of nothing going on, it was time to go home. I was afraid I was going to fall asleep and desperatly looking for some source of entertainment saw a Porsche 911 Twin Turbo speed past me. Little choice did I have but to floor it and chase right after him. We spent the entire trip going about 120 chasing eachother back and forth waving out the windows and having a blast weaving in and out of traffic. Shortly after a Mustang joined in, but I was glad enough to say I became the leader of the pack. Five police cars on the side of the road later, the majority of the other cars had pussied out and I had a major lead on everyone. But the Porsche came back strong as he had been the whole time. We managed to stay together almost the whole way home until we hit 285 where we honked and waved goodbye after an entertaining trip home. We were on a race to make it home before 9pm to catch Sex in The City on HBO. Surely enough we made it home at exactly 8:55, with five minutes to spare to get some Hi-C and get comfortable. The show indubitably as it always does, rooled. Afterward I worked a little bit on my webpage, called some friends in Macon to make horseback riding plans for tomorrow and talked on the phone for a few hours before coming on here to write about my day.
